Beginning it's life as the UKs first ever condom store in 1992, the Pasante brand was fully established by 2000 with the family owned business exporting to over 45 countries. Over the subsequent years Pasante Healthcare Limited (PHL) continued to expand and new brands were incorporated into the group such as Insti, Sebamed® and Medicheck. In 2016, PHL was acquired by Karex Berhad with the intention of expanding PHL’s brands.

Karex is the world’s largest condom manufacturer with the capacity to produce over 5 billion condoms a year. It has over 30 years of condom manufacturing experience

Working with their suppliers and distribution partners, PHL, as part of the Karex group, has all of the required certification/registration for the relevant products, including ISO 13485, Medical Device Directive, In Vitro Diagnostic Directive, BSI Kitemark and the European Union Cosmetics Directive.

 

The brand that would become LELO started in 2003, in the front room of a Stockholm townhouse, where three designers coalesced at exactly the right place at exactly the right time, with exactly the right idea.

The test has been used for clinical studies on the impact of accessible HIV testing by the NHS, University College London, the Terrance Higgins Trust, UKCAB, Sussex University, and others.

Durex is a British condoms brand, originally developed and produced in the United Kingdom by SSL International. SSL International was sold to the company Reckitt Benckiser in 2010. It is one of the best-selling condom brands across the world, with 30% of the global market.
